Outdoor Facilities

The Bedford Park District offers nearly 34 acres of recreation space. Whether it is one of our five playground areas, four ball fields,  wading pool or splashpad, we have something to offer everyone. Come join us outside!

Playgrounds

We offer five different playground areas, each focusing on a different age group, giving children fun and unique play experiences. All playgrounds are within walking distance of each other and our other facilities allowing for a fun-filled day of activities and adventures.

Bedford Park

Our biggest and longest standing playground area, Bedford Park is where it all started. Located next to Walker School, this play area is in the heart of the Bedford Park District and sees action year round. Swing, slide, spin, and climb your day away.

Gardens Park

Located in neighboring Bridgeview Gardens, this playground offers traditional play equipment as well as a "ninja" style obstacle course.  

Tot Lot

The Tot Lot, located next to the Community Building, is aimed for children 4 and under. Smaller play equipment allows for a safer play environment for our smaller friends. The play area is covered with a rubber based turf surface. providing extra safety, and it's fun to walk on too!

Pavilion North

This area provides just a few pieces to play on while watching a ballgame on Field 3. Small on size, big on fun.  

Pavilion South

Another of our smaller areas, this spot is tucked away near the pavilion and gets most of its action from picnics and parties. Stop by during the week and you may have the place to yourself!

Ball Fields

Whether its a tee-ball game or a collegiate baseball game, we have a field size for everyone between. Our four fields can all be adjusted to fit any size level of competition. Overhead lighting allows for evening games on three fields, and two concession stands and two washroom facilities provide a comfortable atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.

Golf 1

Mini Golf Course

Play a quick 9 on the Bedford Park Mini Golf Links. Grab a club, ball, and score card inside the Community Building during normal operating hours. If we aren't open you are welcome to bring your own!

Lily Pad Splash Pad

Cool off on those hot summer days at our Lily Pad Splash Pad! Open to the public between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Picnic Pavilion

Enjoy a nice meal outside on a beautiful day under our picnic pavilion. Individuals are welcome to use it freely any time. If you are interested in hosting an event at the pavilion please reach out to us for availability. Rental includes access to kitchenette.
