Start your child on the path to success with Bedford Park District's Playschool Program. Our Early Childhood Room is located in the Community Building and provides an atmosphere where learning and fun go hand in hand. Our curriculum provides a nurturing environment that supports exploration and education to prepare children for a lifetime of learning.
Our staff, under the guidance of our Playschool Director Gigi Tiffin, demonstrates respect for each and every child in their care. The staff ensures that each child learns and grows and their own pace. They encourage curiosity, discovery, and imagination as a foundation for learning.
Registration for residents and siblings of current students takes place during the month of April. Registration for non-residents takes place on the first Monday in May. To avoid waiting in line at the Community Building that day, a lottery is held for all interested participants that contact us before 4:00PM on that day.

The Early Childhood Bridge Program is designed to provide toddlers with a safe, fun, and educational opportunity to learn and grow between the Playschool and Playtime programs. Children have lunch in the classroom from 11:30AM until noon, followed by one of the following programs that take place from 12:15 until 12:55PM;
Jumping Gym Time: Tumbling at the Swanson Center
Spanish: Learning simple Spanish through stories and games
Wiggle Worms: Improving both gross and fine motor skills
Sing-a-long: Singing songs that combine music and physical activity
Because creative play is vital to the lives of healthy children, the Bedford Park District offers this program to ensure unstructured play opportunities for children in their toddler years. Our program follows the School District 104 calendar with regards to days off and runs from September through May.
This program promotes refining both gross and fine motor skills through play. Children are encouraged to jump, climb, and run as they experience a variety of equipment available to them. This program runs from September through May and fees are per semester.
